Unfortunately, only those of us who are aware of the brainwashing, mass hypnosis, and Stockholm Syndrome pathology which is rampant all around us will read this vitally important book. It seems to me the question that needs to be asked and answered is what can we do to prod the cult members to question their beliefs, to question the massive propaganda, to question the mass media which lie to them in perfect unison all around the world?
Interestingly, when Canetti published his Masse und Macht (Crowds and Power) in 1960, the world, and Europe in particular, ate it up in gratitude for people were still trying to understand what happened under the Nazi occupation.That was 15 years after the war. Today, we are still in the covid lockdown atmosphere, thought it is retrenching, it is still among us, and the main stream media are defending the indefensible and attacking Mattias Desmet. He is right on.
I posted it on facebook and it was removed quickly with this explanation "We encourage free expression, but don’t allow false information that results in reduced vaccinations and harms public health and safety."
Are they really effective? A resounding YES. Ask any ICU doctor or nurse who is in their ICU and who is dying from virus. Overwhelmingly non-vaxed people is the answer you will get.
Interesting explanation for what I realized was going on during the worst of the pandemic in our media and among my progressive friends.
There is no excuse for the dismal performance of our three-letter agencies in not disseminating the important information about the role of vitamin D3 in lessening severity and the effectiveness of repurposed drugs, especially given early, in reducing deaths and shortening disease duration. During a pandemic you do not wait for the results of randomized double blind placebo controlled studies (the gold standard in normal times), simply because they will take well over a year to complete and will cost $1 billion that no one is going to fund because the drug(s) is off-patent.
You go with the best data you have, which showed at least two extremely safe and inexpensive medications highly effective. Not cures, but effective. The role of the three letter agencies and our media in deriding these medications was despicable.
A couple of points of clarification on the article:
The vaccines ARE effective at preventing deaths and ICU admissions. They have also been shown to have a small effect to reduce transmission and the risk of long Covkd. Their risks, however, are not insignificant, and were not assessed in various age groups against the risk from the virus itself. To propose vaccinating minors, the group with the lowest risk from the virus and the highest risk from the vaccines was a very questionable recommendation.

It's ironic how many freedom-loving individuals, when captured in a mass formation, willingly give up their freedom of independent thought.
