I have lived along the Jersey Shore my entire life, blessed by the beauty of its beaches and the chance to swim in its oceans and bays. I am deeply heartbroken and dismayed by what the Democrats have allowed and urged BOEM to devastate. Thank you for writing about this.

Unfortunately the environmental folks seem to repeatedly ignore the side effects of their new exciting ideas to save some part of the environment...this started back in the 60's with air pollution regs that impacted water quality. Given the expensive capital investment, the time the companies will have to wait for return on their investments, and the nearly irrevocable nature of these installations, it is unlikely they will be pulled out even if extreme impacts are discovered. The fact is the enthusiasm with which this administration has pushed to replace oil, coal and natural gas with alternate sources of wind and solar power is sadly misplaced. As many dead birds would note if they could, many of these facilites -- all involving huge structures --have been installed and operated without regards to the severe and permanent enviromental impacts. Worse, if they were being truthful, they would admit the cost, benefit and production of these giant ghastly structures is really questionable.. High dollar subsidies to these companies make the energy produced look far more impressive than reality. RFK wrote a letter to NMFS which he made public on his website has a good address to write to begin complaints about these projects.

Good Lord, is there a petition against these wind farms anywhere we could sign, people we should call???? Sincere questions.

There are groups up-and-down the coast fighting this. Most all hav

e filed multiple lawsuits. The ones you should be calling may be the so-called environmental groups that are supporting offshore wind!

Both the Audobon Society and the Sierra Club were infiltrated decades ago by global corporate sponsors jumping on the environmental bandwagon for PR purposes. As a result their review and support is pretty meaningless.

I doubt the wind people would listen, why would they? I will follow up with the organizations in the article :)
