Hmm.... From the footer of that Atlantic piece: "The Atlantic’s COVID-19 coverage is supported by grants from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation."

And....."Katherine J. Wu is a staff writer at The Atlantic, where she covers science."

Now the question is this "Jim": Who pays you to post here?

Expand full comment

I haven't even looked up who supports the "Atlantic Covid-19 coverage"

I read "The Atlantic" on a daily basis, not just to inform myself about Covid.

It's in my opinion one of the more interesting magazines out there.

In regards to your question: Nobody pays me..

I got here by accident by clicking on a link posted recently on the FLCCC site. And after reading some of the articles here, about all those "IVM Miracles" and "Believe It" BS stories, I saw a real need on this outlet to point readers in a direction that might help some to get a different point of view. That's all...

Now... the real question is this "Thomas": Do you believe me or not?

In the end...it doesn't really matter.

I post links... you decide to read or not. ;-)

Jim,

This is your father. You need to come home right now and return mom's laptop.

We got a call from your work that you've been fired for obsessively posting on all of Rescue's posts.

To everyone else, we are aware of his odd Howard Stern quotes, copy/paste comments, and unhelpful discourse. We apologize for his behavior.

Best,

P.s. - Please keep your eye out for Jim. He was last seen under a bridge.

What amazes me is this desire to have "consensus" in science these days before really investigating things. Requiring "consensus" in the medical community would necessitate zero advancement in medicine. If we listened to "consensus" science the Earth is 6,000 years old, flat, and the sun revolves around the Earth.

Albert Einstein rightly pointed out 99 scientists out of 100 could be absolutely certain they were correct, only to have experimentation proves the 1 dissenting scientist correct. That is how most scientific advancements are made. An admission that the consensus is often just plain wrong.

The vaccines will clearly NOT disappear this virus. It's cruel to refuse to allow or investigate treatments that are cheap, safe, and widely available.

Interestingly pharmacies in the US are sold out. I'm not sure if its because they actually are, or if they are cowering to politicians who, like many of your letter writers, prefer political science over replicated science, data, and observed outcomes.

I've told my children - this is what authoritarianism looks like - where human stupidity and pride rule the day. You aren't wearing a mask because we can afford private options for education that are more sane as our money is not guaranteed to them. The actual science has pointed ot indoor air filtration being the best mitigation of respiratory viruses (and bacteria, allergies) since before the pandemic. Politicians don't like solving problems and the arrogant who treat politicians like Gods are too simple to ever tired of being wrong. While there are certainly exceptions, many of them, that is what academia is filled with today - simple minded people, who are wrong more than they are right, who treat politicians as Gods, and students as potential followers of their ignorant woke religion.

True science demands healthy skepticism and a desire to genuinely test theories. I do appreciate the letter writers including their names - I know which universities aren't worth paying a dime to.

How many hours does it take for you to climb down from your high horse?

Speaking of horses...

Don't take "Horse Dewormer" as a cure for Covid!!!

I think even Marik & Kory would advise against it. ;-)

Expand full comment

Of course they advise against it. They advise that one consult with one's doctor to obtain Ivermectin in the form designed to treat humans. Sadly, in the U.S., Big Gov't and Big Pharma have pressured pharmacies to withhold Ivermectin from COVID patients (even if a doctor prescribes it). Rather than allow their loved ones to die of COVID or to suffer vaccine after-effects as so many are, family members are resorting to veterinary Ivermectin, often with success. Shame on our greedy gov't and Big Pharma for making the latter action necessary.

BTW, guess who's currently trialing it's own version of Ivermectin? Pfizer. Now, why would they do that if Ivermectin doesn't work against COVID? Do they know something they don't want you to know?

Expand full comment

Well... I don't have a problem if Pfizer is running a study on Ivermectin. There are others who do the same thing. In fact, I am really interested in the results of the currently ongoing Oxford PRINCIPLE trial.

https://www.ox.ac.uk/node/5835888

That will bring finally real results, since they document it properly.

I am sick and tired of reading endless "anecdotes and miracle stories" that have no scientific value at all. Other than that...most current scientific studies show rather meager results. Let's hope the Oxford trial will bring clarity.

Now to the FLCCC I-MASK protocol...

Even they had to admit that the lower doses are not working and basically "tripled" the daily dose and added more medications to their treatment list. That's because the virus has changed and "Delta" isn't as easy to tame as the original strain was in early 2020.

Remarkably, even Kory is finally admitting that Ivermectin should be considered as a "Bridge to Vaccines"

You can read it on page 2 of his latest protocol on page 2 in the fine print, bottom left (Remark 7)

It states:

"The i-MASK+ protocol is a bridge to vaccines and a safety net for those who cannot or have not been vaccinated; or are vaccinated and have concerns regarding declining protection against emerging variants. Vaccines have shown efficacy in preventing the most severe outcomes of Covid-19 and are an important part of a multi-modal strategy that must also include early treatment. The decision to get a vaccine should be made in consultation with your health care provider"

I personally would add "always consult with your doctor before taking any medications"...not only vaccines ;-)

So...if you live in the United States, where vaccines are readily available to everyone above the age of 12, I do not see any reason not to get vaccinated, unless your doctor would advise you against it.

Kory seems to agree (even if only in the fine print ;-)

Expand full comment

The flccc has always said the ivermectin and other early treatments is not a replacement for vaccines but a bridge and adjunct to. People still die of COVID after being vaccinated and it doesn’t help to give them another jab when they are coming down with the disease.

When Big Pharma run Big Studies on a cheap, off-patent drug, you already know what they will find. Don't be so gullible.

How simple of you - despite ivermectin winning a Nobel peace prize as a human medicine, you only know how to get it from your vet? Easiest way to tell the simple minded have no argument - they conflate ridiculous things. That desperate people OD'd on horse medicine has absolutely nothing to do with the effects on humans taking human dosages to treat viruses in their human bodies.

Since you seem so certain of your opinion, could you please provide some RCTs that showed humans were hurt taking ivermectin for Covid? I mean if it doesn't work with the dozens of studies the argument against should be stronger than "well, if you take the horse version you could die." If you take horse doses of about any medicine you could die. Is it time to ban penicillin?

Expand full comment

First of all... calm down ;-)

Second... Ivermectin won the Nobel Prize in Medicine (not Peace ;-)

Third... It was awarded for it's "anti-parasitic" effect NOT for any "anti-viral" properties.

https://www.nobelprize.org/uploads/2018/06/campbell-lecture.pdf

Fourth.... just because a drug wins a Nobel Prize does NOT mean its working against Covid ;-)

Fifth... Don't take "Horse Dewormer" as a cure for Covid ;-)

Sixt... I am not advocating for or against IVM. I read clinical trials and their results ;-)

Unfortunately, especially the latest ones aren't very encouraging to continue using IVM. Even the FLCCC advises to see their protocol only as "supplemental" (Just In Case) and a "bridge to vaccines"... which means, get the vaccine and "in case" you still get sick, you can try the Kit ;-)

Lastly... Don't let yourself down that rabbit hole that IVM is the "holy grail" of medicines to cure Covid. It is not. ;-)

Science is not a "religion"

Science is "discovery & observation"... it changes just like a virus does.

What might have worked last year, might not work today ;-)

Good Day.

Expand full comment

I wouldn't ever take medical advice from someone so clearly arrogant and transparently simple minded. The stuff that failed last year is still failing this year..... vaccines, masking, lockdowns, social isolation have never worked to disappear a globally endemic respiratory virus and unless there are massive changes to make any of those actually effective, they never will. Science is replication f observed outcomes...........

Excuse my typo adding "peace" A few notes since you seem to think repeating the same ridiculous insinuations is helpful. I'll be more clear this time:

1 - I never claimed it won any prize for Covid, I pointed out it is a safe and widely used HUMAN drug in addition to deworming horses, cows, and pets

2 - You continue to conflate taking horse doses for human doses (doubling down on simple - go you!!)

3 - I never claimed it was a holy grail for Covid - I pointed out simple minded people like you have no interest in really finding out and all you can do is conflate people taking massive doses meant for horses with those who want to know if it could work for Covid

4 - Actual science is not a religion - it is a search for answers discovered through replicated outcomes and refuted by lack replicated outcomes or newer methods that disprove the test in the first place. The wokeness that you follow is a religion (do you wear a mask around for 9 hours in the same small room with others too???)

5 - Numbers 1-4 are why I'd never take medical advice from someone like you.

I have no idea if ivermectin helps treat covid. You don't either. While it may offer some benefit, I am concerned that signs it helps are decreasing and doses increasing - as with vaccines - medicines that appear based on more data to work less effectively should be treated with caution. The difference between us is I want to know the answer while blind faith will lead you to jab 3....... if it really increases immunity, great! If it causes ADE who will you blame??? The 6 billion people in poor countries who couldn't access vaccines and the young and healthy who refused to take a risk to their personal health in the name of your woke religion?

Expand full comment

Absolutely. I stand by my earlier statement. If you think Ivermectin isn't 100 times better than the stupid vaccine, you're just ignorant. India, Japan, Mexico, and a host of other countries, including most of Africa, where big Pharma doesn't have a choke hold, are successfully defeating COVID. Which is more than you can say for all the highly vaccinated countries... Israel being the prime example. You have no clue what you're talking about.

Explain to me how a vaccine can be "stupid"

But I have met a lot of stupid people in my life... that's for sure.

It might gives you a clue who's ignorant and who's not. ;-)

Try to get your head out of the sand and actually look at what's going on around the world. I already mention the countries which have proven Ivermectin works. These aren't lab trials, they are real world results. Also, Israel just came out saying they are planning for the fourth booster. Why? Because the first three aren't working. And we all know the vaccines doesn't prevent the sickness or transmission. Apparently you missed the articles talking about how the viral load in vaccinated people is just as high as unvaccinated? Add all this to the fact that VAERS is just blowing up with adverse reactions and deaths... my own daughter had a bad reaction. A friend of hers just died from blood clots six weeks after the vaccine... 37 year old male, mountain climbing healthy, never a problem before.

The vaccine doesn't work and it's dangerous.

The difference between saying Ivermectin works and saying it should be a stepping stone to the vaccine is that the first statement is a fact, backed up by data, and the second is an opinion. Clearly you don't know the difference.

Expand full comment

Listen...

I am not going into a "trench war" with you here.

Your statement: "The vaccine doesn't work and it's dangerous." tells me that it is better to talk to an empty chair then trying to have a serious discussion with you.

Even Dr. Malone, the inventor of mRNA technology, is endlessly talking about what a bad idea all this mass vaccination is. And talks about how the vaccine damages the human body. And what about DR. Vladimir Zelenko. He's treated over 6000 patients using his protocol successfully?

Pushing the vaccine is stupid, ignorant, and without merit, when there is a perfectly good treatment available. Which of course is the issue, because if there is official recognition that Ivermectin works, than the EUA for the vaccine is null and void and big Pharma losses billions!

The bipolar cognitive disorder in this country is so rampant that anything and everything is quickly labeled "pro" or "anti" and then quickly tossed onto a pile of the so-called "right" or "left". Ivermect!n is just the latest example. Iveermectin has been labeled as "anti-vax" and tossed into the right Pro-Trump realm because this drug has received support from some commentators on FOX. So of course, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, etc simultaneously tried to further mischaracterize this drug as solely a veterinarian drug. This is despite this drug being widely distributed to humans in India, Slovakia, Mexico, Peru, and other places specifically for C-19 where the same labels and bipolar classifications aren't applicable. This is also despite the acknowledgment by Fauci, the NIH and major drug companies that an anti-viral program is needed in addition to vaccines since the vaccines do NOT stop infection and mild cases which are 90 to 95% of cases. This is why billions of US government dollars are being spent to fund anti-viral drug research to come up with new drugs that essentially do what ivermectin already does. This is also why Pfizer and Merck have a lot of money to lose if the off patent ivermectin is recognized as useful in early treatment.
