Bending the knee to tyranny is not an option for me, and I don’t even understand people who do that when it’s not to put food in the mouths of their children or a home over their heads. So, that was disappointing to me, especially with someone so well informed. Frankly, I feel compassion and empathy for them being faced with that choice; and I am glad for their patients that they are still there treating them as best they can under these awful circumstances. Cut them all some slack, please. They are focused on early treatment modalities, not political wars. Let everyone choose fir themselves. No mandates.
"when it’s not to put food in the mouths of their children or a home over their heads" Or, you could just combine the two like Bush and "put food on their children".
